Opera Club presented first Met Prep on Macbeth
Last night Mcnally Robinson broke new ground by introducing its very first . The evening's events were hosted by of Valhalla Opera Tours. June offered a presentation on Macbeth, the Shakespearen play, but more fittingly, the opera by Verdi.
Over 40 opera enthusiasts were in attendence. The lessons we received were both expected (the storyline of Macbeth, comments on the theme of witchcraft and the roles that women play in the plot), and unexpected (what wears while in his dressing room).
It was an informative and fun premiere for the . It will see its next performance at 7:00 pm on Wednesday February 13th, when it will take on Manon Lescaut.
