The Real McCoys by Matthew Swanson & Robbi Behr (from a Two Thumbs Up reviewer)

by McNally Robinson - Thursday, Nov 23, 2017 at 7:18pm

Moxie McCoy and her little brother Milton McCoy go to tiddlywhump elementary school. In school there are awards like the Owl Points Award. Owl points are points that get taken away from you when you break school rules. There is also the Wise Owl Award which goes to the student with the best grades. The final award, the Eddie the owl Award goes to the student with the most courage, patients, and wisdom. On the day of the assembly, over the loud speaker, principle Jones said, “the assembly is canceled since our beloved mascot Eddie has been stolen.” When Moxie heard the news, she knew she had to solve the case. So, Moxie begins to gather evidence and she teams up with her smart little brother. Can Moxie solve the case or does the thief escape? Find out in The Real McCoy's!
