Recently awarded the British Guardian Children's Fiction Prize, Finding Violet Park is the sensitive, lyrical story of a teen boy's discovery of the truth behind his father's disappearance, guided by a dead woman.

Told in the funny and original voice of 15 year-old Lucas Swain, Finding Violet Park is absolutely delightful. After stumbling across an urn containing an old woman's ashes, Lucas finds himself led to deepening revelations about his family and especially to the truth behind his father's disappearance five years earlier. Jenny Valentine makes a stunning debut with this lovely, warm-hearted and satisfying teen novel. Highly recommended for 12 to 16.
