Atonement opens in theatres across North America on Dec. 7

Atonement is a 2007 British film directed by Joe Wright. It stars James McAvoy and Keira Knightley in the lead roles. The film opened the 2007 Venice Film Festival, making director Joe Wright, at the age of 35, the youngest director ever to open the prestigious festival. The film has also opened the 2007 Vancouver International Film Festival. It has already been tipped to be a big Oscar contender.
