Tom Gates likes drawing, dogs, and the band Dude3, so when Dude3 comes to town, Tom just HAS to get tickets - but it's harder than you'd think. The Brilliant World of Tom Gates by is a funny book that I think is more for boys, but some girls might like it too. It is a bit like Diary of a Wimpy Kid because both of the main characters think they are the best person in the world and the book is filled with illustrations. It also has the same kind of humour. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it started off slow but by page 11, I was hooked. Keep reading, it gets better!
