Preschool Storytime
For kids ages 3-5. Fridays at 10:00 am in the Atrium. Drop in.

Musical Storytime
A three week program of stories, songs, and movement for toddlers, eighteen months and older, accompanied by an adult. The group meets on three Mondays from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. There will be a $15 registration fee.

Our next sessions begin in January . The dates are:
January 14, 21, 28
February 25, March 4, 11
April 8, 15, 22

The I Love Reading Club
A discussion group for enthusiastic readers in grades 4 to 6. The fee for the program is $35 (this includes the cost of the books). Pre-registration is required.

Our next I Love Reading Club session will be Tuesdays, February 19, March 5, and March 19. We will be reading:
Tumbleweed Skies by Valerie Sherrard
Masterpiece by Elise Broach
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

Be First Reading Club
Read a book before it's published! Our Be First reading group for teens is a book club with a difference. Sign up at the Kids Desk and receive a preview copy of a selected title and read the book before it even hits the shelves. These books are pre-publication copies of books that are normally only available to industry insiders.

Our next session will be Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 PM. We will be reading The Fall by Colleen Nelson, who will also be in attendance! There will be a $5.00 registration fee. Please note that the date of March 28 as listed in the March/April edition of The Bookseller is incorrect.

The session after that will be Thursday, April 18 at 7:00 PM. We will be reading The Program by Suzanne Young. There will be a $5.00 registration fee.

Two Thumbs Up Review Program
We would like to offer kids and teens an opportunity to review hot (as in, hot off the press!), new books for our McNally Robinson website.

Here's how it works: You sign out an advance reading copy of a new title from our "behind the desk" supply, read the book, write a short 50-100 word review. You can either email it to us at twothumbsup@grant.mcnallyrobinson.ca or bring it to us in person. Then take another book and do it again! See our teen reviews here and our kids reviews here, or click here for more information

Fine print: We will require a parent's signed permission to publish your review on our website.

Give us a call at 204-475-0492 or stop by the Kids section if you have any questions.
