2011 Hugo Award and John W. Campbell Award Shortlists Announced by Chadwick Ginther - Monday, Apr 25, 2011 at 7:55pm

The ballot for the 2011 Hugo Awards has been released and there are some familiar names on the list; both Connie Willis' Blackout/All Clear and N.K. Jemisin's The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms were nominated for the Nebula Award, and Ian McDonald's Dervish House was nominated for the British Science Fiction Association Award.

Nominees in the Best Novel Category:

The nominees for the John W. Campbell Award for the best new professional science fiction or fantasy writer are:

  • Saladin Ahmed
  • Lauren Beukes
  • Larry Correia
  • Lev Grossman
  • Dan Wells

The winners will be announced Saturday, August 20th, 2011, at the 69th World Science Fiction Convention (Renovation) in Reno, Nevada.
