

2010 Hugo Awards Announced

For only the third time, the Hugo Award for Best Novel was awarded to two books: 's The City & The City and 's The Windup Girl. Both books have been dominating science fiction and fantasy awards lists all year. This year's winners join good company, 1993's shared best novel went to 's A Fire Upon the Deep and 's Doomsday Book and in 1966, 's Dune and 's ... And Call Me Conrad also deadlocked the voters.
The John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer went to , author of Rosemary and Rue.
