Who Needs a Friend?

Friendship is a common thread running through many stories for young children. As they begin to develop an awareness of others, children also notice their similarities and their differences to each other. As a bookseller I have heard young people ask questions in honest and sometimes surprisingly interesting ways while playing here in the Hundred Acre Wood!
In a current display "Friends 'til the End", we have featured some wonderful books that speak to the theme of friendship. They stress important topics like listening and understanding, and help to affirm the value of respecting the differences in each other. Friendship takes work for sure, but these lovely stories show how the best friendships can also be fun! To view these books, please click on the feature section "Friends 'til the End" on the sidebar.
