Ongoing Kids Events at Grant Park

Preschool Storytime. For kids aged 3 - 5. Fridays at 10 am in the Hundred Acre Wood. Drop in. Musical Storytime. A three week program of stories, songs and movement for toddlers, eighteen months and older, accompanied by an adult. The next sessions will be April 7,14,21 and May 5,12,19 at 10:00 am. There is a $15 registration fee. Please ask at the Children's Service Desk on the mezzanine for more details. Reading Group. A discussion group for enthusiastic readers in grades 4 to 6. Fee for the program is the cost of the four books being discussed. Pre-registration is required. The next session will be Tuesdays, March 9,23, April 6,20 from 6:45 -7:30 pm. Teen Writing Workshop. Writing workshop for teens conducted by celebrated local authors. Our next writing workshop will help you to explore the lighter side of your life and your writing with local author . Maureen is the author of the extremely funny teen novels Exploits of a Reluctant (But Extremely Good Looking) Hero and Recipe for Disaster. The workshop is for teens ages 12 to 15 and the cost is $25.00 per person. The group will meet on three consecutive Thursday evenings, April 8, 15, and 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Pre-registration is required.
