
's The Graveyard Book, which recently scored a World Fantasy Award nomination (along with just about every other major honour it's eligible for) has won the Hugo Award for best novel.

Marseguro (reviewed here) by Regina's has won the 2009 Prix Aurora Award in the Best Long Form Work in English category. You can read an interview with Willett here. If you haven't tried Marseguro or its sequel, Terra Insegura yet, you should, both are thoroughly engaging reads.

The Hugos and Auroras weren't the only awards given out at Wolrdcon. In other awards news, the Sidewise Awards which honour excellence in the field of Alternate History went to 's The Dragon's Nine Sons in the Long Form category and 's story Sacrifice, from the anthology Sideways in Crime, in the Short Form Category. The Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA) Chesley Awards announced winners here:
