Saskatchewan Author Wins Canadian Science Writers Award by Nicole Berard - Saturday, Jun 13, 2009 at 2:01pm Denare Beach author, Myrna Guymer, has been awarded the Canadian Science Writers' 2008 Science in Society Journalism Award in the children's book category for her book The Canadian Shield Alphabet. Guymer attended the gala awards event in Sudbury Saturday, May 23 to accept the certificate and $1,000.
