I really love this series, and I have since book one. It's lighthearted but has a lot of substance, sarcasm and style. Jessica Darling, the main character, is extremely appealing - just bitchy enough but really lovable at the same time.

In book 3, she's just finished her first year at Columbia University, is struggling to stay faithful to her absentee hippy boyfriend, and working at a hip Brooklyn magazine. Jessica is one of the few female characters I've encountered in teen novels who manages to express her sexual needs and wants in a totally casual (although not irresponsible), empowered way. Really, really good.
