You'd have to forgive wizard private detective Harry Dresden if he didn't feel a touch of schadenfreude when Warden Morgan shows up at his door after being hunted as a traitor by the rest of the White Council. Eleven books into the Dresden Files series, and seems to have no plans to make things easy for the put-upon wizard for hire, which is good news for fantasy fans.
Harry finds himself caught in a vice between a traitor within the White Council, the vampiric incubi/succubi of the White Court, and a powerful creature known as a Skinwalker. Dresden not only has to find a way to clear the name of his former nemesis, but must also find some way to keep his half-brother Thomas alive and the wizarding world from tearing itself apart.
Butcher is a master of keeping his readers turning pages, and Harry's wit and the series' rich supporting cast will keep you coming back for more. Set after the other eleven novels, a handful of short stories and a novella, Turn Coat isn't the place for a new reader to jump into the series. It is, however, another excellent installment.
