Griffin Poetry Prize Shortlist Announced by Nicole Berard - Tuesday, Apr 07, 2009 at 7:19pm

The 2009 shortlist for one of Poetry's most lucrative prizes, the Griffin Poetry Prize, was announced April 6. 485 books of Poetry from 32 countries have been whittled down to a 3 book Canadian shortlist and a 4 book International shortlist

Jeremy Dodds's collection Crabwise to the Hounds A.F. Moritz's The Sentinel and Kevin Connolly's Revolver make up the Canadian shortlist.

The international shortlist is made up of The Lost Leader by Mick Imlah (Great Britain), Life on Earth by Derek Mahon (Ireland), Rising, Falling, Hovering by C.D. Wright (USA)and Primitive Mentor, by Dean Young (USA).
