

The 2009 shortlist for one of Poetry's most lucrative prizes, the Griffin Poetry Prize, was announced April 6. 485 books of Poetry from 32 countries have been whittled down to a 3 book Canadian shortlist and a 4 book International shortlist
collection Crabwise to the Hounds The Sentinel and Revolver make up the Canadian shortlist.
The international shortlist is made up of The Lost Leader by (Great Britain), Life on Earth by (Ireland), Rising, Falling, Hovering by (USA)and Primitive Mentor, by (USA).
