McNally Robinson Booksellers has partnered with Google to provide Google eBooks. Google eBooks™ is a new way to discover, buy, and enjoy your favourite books, online and offline, powered by Google. You can read Google eBooks on your computer, any supported smartphone, or any supported electronic reading device -- anything, really, except Amazon's Kindle.

What is an ebook? An ebook is an electronic book -- a book that can be read on a variety of electronic devices from personal computers to dedicated ebook readers to smartphones. You can buy ebooks and start reading them immediately, from practically any location. Whether downloaded right to your electronic device or accessed through a web browser online, ebooks are convenient to read and are available in all kinds of book genres.
How do I read a Google eBook? You can either download your ebook to your ereading device or you can access it from Google's cloud (ie. their computer servers) anytime and from anywhere you can access the internet.
How do I find Google ebooks?
You can access ebooks on our site the same way you've always accessed books. You can browse for titles using the search function or browse our categories and subjects. Once you find a title you're interested in, click on the title to get to the details page for the book; if an ebook version of the book is available, you'll be offered the option to purchase the ebook or you can place a copy of the book in your cart to purchase a physical copy of the book.
Alternatively, you can go to our ebooks search page and search exclusively for Google eBooks.
Please note that not every book on our website can be purchased as a Google eBook. If you find a title that cannot be purchased as a Google eBook, please check again soon.
How do I purchase an ebook?
You need a google or gmail account. To get a gmail account click here.
To find an ebook first search our website for a book you're interested in. Once you've found that book's details page there will be a link under the available format section of the product information. Click the Buy eBook link, and follow the instructions.
Why do I have to buy each Google eBook individually?
The complexities of adding Google's eBook service to our original website has necessitated the process that allows one purchase at a time. We hope you choose to support us in our endeavours to offer ebooks and we will work to change this approach as soon as we can.
Why can't I use my Reader Reward Card with all Google eBooks?
The increasingly standard pricing agreement for ebooks is what is known as the Agency Pricing Model. This means that publishers set the prices for ebooks and sellers of those ebooks accept and sell at this price. This pricing model doesn't allow for discounting of any kind including our Reader Reward Card. Other publishers are using a more traditional method of pricing which does allow for discounting. Our site will tell you whether or not your RRC is applicable to your eBook purchase when you put an eBook in your cart.
Can I use a McNally Robinson Gift Card to buy Google eBooks?
Yes you can. You will be offered the option of paying by Credit Card or Gift Card. If you choose Gift Card and your card's balance doesn't cover the purchase, you will be given the option of paying the balance with a Credit Card or another Gift Card.
Can I share, gift or print the Google eBooks I bought?
Google eBooks are designed to accomodate one book per user. This means that sharing books among multiple users is currently not supported. Furthermore, it is not possible to buy a Google eBook for someone as a gift though you can buy a McNally Robinson Gift Card for someone and they can use it to buy an eBook. You also won't be able to print a Google eBook at this time.
What is the returns policy for Google eBooks?
If you purchased an ebook and wish to return it please contact Customer Service or reply to your order confirmation email within 14 days of purchase to arrange for a refund.
