Jordan Van Sewell is a clay sculpture artist who has been working in Winnipeg for the last thirty years. A graduate of Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba, Jordan was influenced in his early years by Charles Schultz, R. Crumb and Big Daddy Ed Roth. The influences of his life on the Canadian Prairies, combined with the sixties explosion of the British Invasion and the influence their interpretation put on American Blues, figure largely in his creative works. Collectors around the globe enjoy the quirky sensibility of his sculptures which convey profound and sometimes alarming truths about the human condition.
