African Safari

When you think of an African Safari what springs to mind? A hot dusty land? Savanna filled with strange and wonderful animals that you have only seen in movies or the Zoo? Yes this is part of what you might see on a Safari, but there is so much more. The wonderful people and rich cultures that you will see. The stunning art work and exotic foods that you will have the chance to sample. All these things you would experience as well, but if you can't make it out to Africa then take a journey through some of these books and meet some of the people, places and animals of this beautiful continent.

Travel to Ghana with Kathy Knowles in her quest to bring the love of reading to the children of this West African country.

Jane Goodall, world famous for her work with Chimps in the Gombe National Park in Tanzania, takes us on the adventure of a lifetime. A lifetime that she has spent studying these amazing apes.

Harvey Croze is one of the world's foremost experts on African elephants and has been studying them for 35 years as a founding member of the Amboseli Elephant Research Project. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya.

These are just a few of the authors who we will meet on our African Safari adventure.
