This book is about two kids who are sent on a mission to help find the norse god Loki, who supposedly murdered Odin's favourite son Baldur. John Pru and ABE journey to find the truth about this outrageous act before it's too late!
I give this book an 8/10 because it was written very creatively and because it is basically thh norse story of Ragnarok with a very interesting twist. Without giving anything away, I really liked this book.

The book You in Five Acts tells the story of five friends during their last semester at Janus Academy, a prestigious New York performing arts school. Diego has his heart set on Joy. However, Joy is too focused on dancing and her studies to notice. Liv is dating Ethan, but cannot help loving the new guy, Dave. Dave is in love with Liv, but is afraid to tell her. This decent romance novel shows what it takes to make it in show business.

Carl is a duck and he really, REALLY loves pizza. Then all the pizza in the world mysteriously disappears!!! Carl looks for clues to find out who stole the pizza. He finds out it was a pirate! Will Carl be able to save the pizza?
This was a really funny book. You actually get to draw in the book! My two younger brothers (ages 6 and 8) loved this book. I would recommend it for comic lovers in grades 1 to 3. I give The Pursuit of the Pesky Pizza Pirate 4/5 stars!

When the Sea Turned to Silver, written by Grace Lin, is an interesting, but slow novel. The story centres around young Pinmei and her gentle grandmother, the village storyteller. One night, Pinmei’s grandmother is kidnapped by the greedy emperor’s soldiers. Pinmei learns that the emperor is in search of an object called the Luminous Stone. She isn’t quite sure what it is, but she knows that if she doesn’t do something, it will fall into the wrong hands. Can Pinmei find the stone and save her grandmother before time runs out?
I liked the characters in this book, but found the storyline slow and uneventful. Various characters told little stories throughout the book, which I liked at first, but soon found repetitive. This book mixed ancient legends with original characters. I would recommend it to kids ages 10-12, although the book’s cover suggests ages 8-12. I think younger children would find this book boring. I would give When the Sea Turned to Silver 3 stars out of 5.

This is a very good book. Naomi Marie and Naomi Edith are two girls with the same first name. Naomi Marie lives with her mother and Naomi Edith lives with her father. Naomi Marie is separated from her father by a couple of blocks, but Naomi Edith is a whole country apart from her mother! When the two girls’ parents start to date, sparks fly!
The only negative thing about this book is that there are lots of typos and at times, the book is really confusing. I do not recommend this book for people who get sad easily. All in all, this book is interesting because of all the drama in the families!
