VOYAGES - A Writing Contest for Grades 5 and 6

by Shanleigh K - Saturday, Jan 17, 2015 at 3:41pm

McNally Robinson Booksellers and Scholastic Canada invite grades 5 and 6 students from Manitoba and Saskatchewan to enter our “Voyages” writing contest.

Tell us about a voyage you have been on or want to go on in an essay or story between 600 and 1000 words. A trip to the moon or to the lake, a visit to a place that felt like home or getting lost in a strange place that gave you the creeps, a walk along the highway or to some place in your mind, the choice is yours. Pick whatever moves you.

We are very pleased to  welcome our special guest judge this year: Jennifer A. Nielsen, author of The Ascendance Trilogy.

Entries will be accepted at McNally Robinson Booksellers in Winnipeg and Saskatoon until
11:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015. Winners will be notified on Friday April 17, 2015.

If you have any questions, please contact the kids service desk, or click here for more information.
