McNally Robinson Booksellers and Scholastic Canada invite grade five and six students from Manitoba and Saskatchewan to enter our It Seemed Impossible writing contest with special guest judge,.
At one time people thought it was impossible that we could put a man on the moon. Perhaps you felt that learning to ride a bike was impossible. It seems impossible that you will ever meet a Sasquatch. Tell us something impossible in an essay or story between 600 and 1000 words. Your work may be fact or fiction.
First place authors will receive a $75 gift card from McNally Robinson and a collection of Larry Verstraete's books from Scholastic Canada for the winners' schools. All prizes will be awarded at a celebration where the winning entries will be read aloud by their authors.
Deadline for submissions is Friday March 21, 2014 at 11:00 PM. Click here or contact the Kids Service Desk for more information
