Postsingular is far and away one of the strangest books I have ever read. Sci-fi veteran Rudy Rucker, also a mathematician and computer scientist, has created a work that combines the suspense of an action pot-boiler with the latest in reality-warping string/quantum theory.

Monster is a novel about a man named Monster, who...err...hunts monsters. Okay, "hunts monsters" isn't quite politically correct -- what he actually does is offer Cryptobiological Containment and Rescue Services -- but when there's a yeti eating all of your ice cream, who has time to be picky?

Turn Coat by Jim Butcher by Chadwick Ginther - Thursday, Apr 09, 2009 at 8:50am

You'd have to forgive wizard private detective Harry Dresden if he didn't feel a touch of schadenfreude when Warden Morgan shows up at his door after being hunted as a traitor by the rest of the White Council. Eleven books into the Dresden Files series, and Jim Butcher seems to have no plans to make things easy for the put-upon wizard for hire, which is good news for fantasy fans.

How much fun can you have with a werewolf named Kitty? Turns out, a lot. Carrie Vaughn's urban fantasy series featuring radio personality (and werewolf) Kitty Norville proved to be one of my happier finds in recent months. After the jump I will do short reviews on the first three novels in the series.
