Titled The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, the story follows the newborn vampire army's journey as it prepares to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullen family. Oxford Literary Festival.

, prolific novelist, biographer, and magician, passed away last week, the day after his 90th birthday.
In addition to scores of charming and peculiar novels, including the Newbery Award-winning book The Whipping Boy, Fleischman had written fantastic biographies of Harry Houdini and Mark Twain. Before his death, he completed Sir Charlie, a biography of Charlie Chaplin, which is set to release June 1, 2010.

War Dances (Grove Press) has been selected as the winner of the 2010 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.
The PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction is a national prize which honors the best published works of fiction by American citizens in a calendar year. Three judges, chosen annually by the directors of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation, select five books from among the more than 300 works submitted, making this the largest peer-juried award in the country. The winning writer and four finalists are honored at a ceremony held in Washington at the Folger Shakespeare Library in May.
To HBO, at least. Fans of A Song of Ice and Fire who are eagerly awaiting the fifth book in popular fantasy series, will have to continue to wait for A Dance with Dragons.
Martin announced the news recently, that HBO has greenlighted A Game of Thrones for a full ten episode first season, due to air next spring. The plan is to adapt one book in the series per season. The cast includes Lord of the Rings alumni, Sean Bean in the role of Eddard (Ned) Stark, Lord of Winterfell and the King's new Hand.
