Canadian Library Association Announces the 2009 Young Adult Book Award Shortlist by Lynn Popham - Thursday, Mar 12, 2009 at 10:38am

The Young Adult Services Interest Group of the Canadian Library Association announced the shortlist for the 2009 Young Adult Book Award.

This award recognizes an author of an outstanding English-language Canadian work of fiction (novel, collection of short stories or graphic novel), published in 2008, that appeals to young adults between the ages of 13 and 18.

Del Rey to Adapt The Talisman by Chadwick Ginther - Tuesday, Oct 14, 2008 at 4:04pm

Del Rey Books has acquired the rights to publish comic book and graphic novel adaptations of Stephen King and Peter Straub's The Talisman. Some of King's works have already made a successful transition to the graphic form with Marvel Comics, who released two volumes of his The Dark Tower as graphic novels: The Gunslinger Born and The Long Road Home. Marvel is currently adapting another of the horror giant's signature works, The Stand.
