Louise Penny has won has won the Anthony Award at Bouchercon! Best Crime Novel of the year for Bury Your Dead. The Anthony Awards are literary awards for mystery writers presented at the Bouchercon World Mystery Convention. The Anthony Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the world of mystery writers.

Louise Penny will in our Grant Park store for the Winnipeg launch of A Trick of the Light: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel Tuesday, September 27, 8:00 pm.

Congratulations to Patrick DeWitt and Esi Edugyan, the two Canadian authors on The 2011 Man Booker Shortlist. The Man Booker Prize for Fiction is awarded each year for the best original full-length novel, written in the English language, by a citizen of the Commonwealth of Nations, Ireland, or Zimbabwe. The winner is awarded £50,000.
