Based on the popular Canada Reads model, voters narrowed a field of 16 books written by Manitoba authors down to eight. Four public figures have agreed to serve as panelists, each choosing one of the final eight as their top pick.

Be a part of the live recording this Saturday, September 24 at THIN AIR (taking place at the Manitoba Theatre for Young People). The debate will be hosted by CBC's Keran Sanders and broadcast the Sunday morning, September 25, on the Weekend Morning Show.
The final book is chosen through three rounds of debate, and three rounds of voting. If there is a tie at any point during the evening, the results of the Manitoba Reads Audience Choice poll will serve as the tie-breaker.
