The Steel Seraglio is a great read. I've been excited about this book since reading its companion chapbook, The Seven Djinni back in October. And so I was very pleased that the authors of The Steel Seraglio were kind enough to stop by our website and chat about the writing of their new book, the perils of Djinnis granting wishes, and the importance of stories.

I've loved ' work for years. I've even had the pleasure of interviewing her for this website. While it's not the next Mercy Thompson novel, fans won't be disappointed with her latest offering: Fair Game.
In this third volume of Briggs' Mercedes Thompson spin off series Alpha and Omega, werewolves join the fae as out of the closet supernatural beings, and werewolves Charles and Anna are sent to Boston at the request of the FBI. While attending the 2011 SpecFic Colloquium in Toronto, I had the pleasure to meet and , two of the three authors of ChiZine Publications' The Steel Seraglio. It won't be long until the novel is on our shelves, but until then, enjoy this book trailer by Aurora Award nominated poet, and Aurora Award winning co-organizer of Toronto's SpecFic Colloquium, .

I had the pleasure of meeting fantasy author while attending World Fantasy Convention in Columbus, Ohio. His new novel Greatshadow, Book One of the Dragon Apocalypse releases today.
: What made you love fantasy?
: Comic books. I devoured comics as a kid. Marvel published Conan the Barbarian, and DC had books like Warlord and Claw the Conqueror. When I read actual books in my youth, they were heavily weighted toward science fiction; I was only dimly aware of the fantasy genre. (This may have had something to do with small town libraries feeling it was okay to stock books about spaceships, but not okay to stock books about wizards and spell casting.) I didn't read Lord of the Rings until I was in college.
