Young Fantasy Writer's Workshop February 18th-21st

Wednesday, Jan 29, 2014 at 7:36pm

Dust

from $9.99

Join facilitator Sheila Janzen and other aspiring authors ages 12-14 to improve your writing and discuss the work of Art Slade, author of the 2001 Governor General's and 2001 Saskatchewan Book Awards winning Dust. Using the book as a tool, we will look at themes, story arc, structure and format. As we workshop our own stories we will investigate desire as the engine of plot. We will also discuss when the writer should use dialogue to move the story along and when narrative might be better used. In the final session we will present our stories!

The cost of the workshop is the purchase of Dust by Arthur Slade ($8.39-tax included) It will take place February 18th-21st, 1-3pm in the Story Circle.
