Hands-On Set & Costume Design

Cost: $80 for four Thursday classes plus a lab fee of $5.00 per person
This class will explain a little more of the theory behind theatre set and costume design and will also give you an opportunity to put some of the theory into practice. Theatre designer David Hewlett will lead a workshop in designing visual imagery for the stage through basic but creative use of the Elements and Principles of Design. This class is an excellent opportunity for those involved in theatre on a less formal basis to better understand theatre set and costume design. You will learn to think outside of the box. What to bring? An HB pencil, duo-plastic eraser or similar, tube/stick of yellow label paper glue, paper scissors, notepaper.
